Aashayein at Bangalore
It was just like any other Sunday in Bangalore, but something different happened on this day. It was first Sunday of January 2007, when a group of young individuals came together with the idea of doing something different for the new year - a new year resolution to do something good for the society. They went at an old age home on 7th January 2007 to serve breakfast and give some of their time to these old people. They din't stopped with a Breakfast or two, but continued to serve breakfast every Sunday and started visiting different places - orphanages, blind schools, leprosy centers, etc. Few more friends joined hands in this cause, the intention was to share the feel good factor which they used to get doing this noble cause.

In a short span of time, this small group had grown to over hundred members and formally registered as an non-profit organization with Govt. of Karnataka(India) and on 19th May 2007, Aashayein Foundation was officially born. Today we are proud to be part of Aashayein Foundation.

Our experience made us realize that there are other things which needs to be fulfilled and food is just one of them. We thought over this a lot and following an old Chinese saying - “Give a man a fish and you'd feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you'd feed him for a lifetime”. We decided to take up education of the underprivileged children as our main mission.

Aashayein Foundation today have approx 1500 members and doing activities in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mysore. We are proud to part of family called as Aashayein Foundation. We would like to invite you to join us to make difference in many lives.
